Fashion Print Design Services
Custom textile prints & artworks for clothing brands
A brand is often recognised by its prints before anything else. Your signature print can become one of the most memorable parts of your brand identity — whether it is clean and minimal or bold and expressive. Getting it right matters.
At Visionise, our designers work with you to create original prints suited to your brand direction and production method. If you have a clear direction in mind, we develop it into production-ready artwork. If you are starting from scratch or not sure which approach suits your brand, a design consultation is the best place to begin.
Print Design Services
We offer print design across every technique used in contemporary garment production.
What is included
Surface and yardage print design / Placement print design / Embroidery design / Laser cutting design / Applique design / Hardware design
Surface and yardage print design
A surface or yardage print is a repeat pattern designed to cover the entire fabric. This approach is used for all-over printed garments and requires the pattern to tile seamlessly across the roll of fabric. Our designers create repeat patterns that work across a range of colourways and fabric types.
Placement print design
A placement print is a single design applied to a specific area of the garment, such as a chest graphic, back print, or sleeve design. Placement prints are one of the most common techniques in contemporary fashion and work across almost every garment category.
Embroidery design
Embroidery adds texture and craftsmanship to a garment. Our designers create embroidery artwork optimised for machine embroidery production, including the file formats your manufacturer needs to set up the embroidery correctly.
Laser cutting and applique design
Laser cutting and applique are detail techniques that add dimension and visual interest to garments and accessories. Our team can design these elements and prepare the production-ready specifications your factory requires.
Hardware design
Custom hardware, including buttons, buckles, zippers, and trims, can be a defining detail for a fashion brand. We can help you develop hardware design concepts that align with your overall brand aesthetic.
Custom Prints vs. Stock Prints
Custom print design
Custom prints are developed specifically for your brand. You work directly with our designers to create an original artwork that reflects your brand identity, your target customer, and your intended production method. Custom prints are the right choice if you want something truly unique and are building a brand with a strong, recognisable visual language.
Stock prints from our shop
If you want professional quality print design at a lower price point, our online shop offers a range of ready-to-use print artworks available for purchase. You buy the print, we provide the files, and you take it to production with your manufacturer. Stock prints are a practical option for brands at an early stage, or for styles where a unique print is not the priority.
Which Print Method Is Right for Your Brand?
The right print method depends on your fabric type, order quantity, design style, and budget. Here is a brief overview of the most common techniques:
- Digital print: Suitable for complex, photographic, or multi-colour designs. Generally no minimum quantity restrictions for setup, though per-unit costs are higher at large volumes.
- Screen print: Best for bold, simple designs with a limited number of colours. Cost-effective at higher quantities with lower per-unit pricing at scale.
- Embroidery: Adds a premium, tactile quality to garments. Works well for logos, badges, and small detailed placements.
- Applique: Involves cutting fabric shapes and stitching them onto the base garment. Creates a dimensional, handcrafted look suited to specific brand aesthetics.
If you are unsure which method suits your brand, book a design consultation and we will walk you through the options based on your specific garments and production goals.
